One day, a small trunk might be delivered to you with a baby yak doll in it, asking you to do one good deed. This is the NYN Taro Project, visit the site for more information and see the latest good actions done by people all around.
This project called the GOOD ACTION Project was invented by the fair trade brand Shokay which merchandises Tibetan products. The baby yak doll, made by indigenous people in Tibet using Yak wool, is the mascot of the Good Action Project.
We here at NYN loved the idea and decided to be part of this innovative project, sending out our own four baby yak dolls – the NYN Taros - on a journey for the greater good.
Who
Four mascots in the NYN colours will start their path in different countries:
Ichiro in Mexico,
Jiro in Peru,
Saburo in Brazil and
Shiro in the USA.
.
Each Taro will come with an explanation like this one.
How
World change starts with One action of One individual. If one of our NYN Taros find its way to you, it means that you are a chosen One. Participation is easy, just do One good action and inform the world about it.
The good action you do could be anything, making a small donation, offer your seat to an elderly person on the train or do volunteer work. Even just giving a smile to someone!
Once you have done your good deed, write about it in an e-mail to us including a picture or more with you and your NYN Taro, so we can post your blog entry: taro@nikkeiyouth.com
Your last task will be to pass on the NYN Taro to a person of your choice.
When
There is one more favour we ask of you: Please complete this within 7 days from the moment you receive the NYN Taro. We are hoping that the baby yak will travel around the world connecting people and leaving a trail of good deeds.
