Nueva Generación Column

Starting in January 2011 we began a new project called Nueva Generación, which means New Generation in Spanish. It`s a column in a monthly magazine called Mercado Latino, which is the largest magazine printed in Spanish in Japan. Here we spread the word about interesting people, in the section called Líder del mes, write about interesting opportunities that the readers can take part, introduce videos and write articles that are useful.

Our objective is to promote cool ideas to the Spanish speakers here in Japan, let them know about our projects and try to engage them to take part in our activities. We hope that by doing this we can not only connect to the Nikkei living abroad, but also to those living in Japan.

If you can read Spanish, look at the images bellow to see what we`ve done so far.

Igor Inocima
Born and raised in Brazil, but I've been in contact with the Japanese culture as my grandparents were Japanese. After some visits to this country I decided to move here in 2005. I work as the Communications Manager for the Nikkei Youth Network, a non-profit organization focused on creating a global network of young Nikkei. I am also the Japan office representative for Editora JBC, a Brazilian publisher focused on Japanese culture publications.
