Nikkei Youth Network, or NYN, is a organization that aims to help create the next 100 years of history through Kizuna.
Kizuna is the Japanese word for strong bonds and emotional ties. We believe that International Cooperation between Japan and all Nikkei communities, a brotherhood that share a common root, is the key for a better tomorrow. NYN was founded by two young Nikkeis, who are proud of their heritage, but also eager to improve on the legacy left by our ancestors. We believe that this can be best achieved with the help of all Nikkei around the world. The name Nikkei Youth Network means exactly that. The Nikkei all share a common root. The Youth usually are the ones who create Change and Innovation, through Out-of-the-box ideas, guts, passion and strong will. And Network is because a collective power can match challenges that otherwise could not be tackled alone. We want to provide a place for easy communication with each other and foster the creation of an international network of committed individuals to share knowledge and work together to improve the Nikkei community and the world. NYN is funded by the Nippon Foundation, which has been helping the Nikkei community through many projects for many years. Learn more about them and visit their official website.
